It all began in 1999 for this estate, which has a long-standing reputation. Mariano Garcia and Javier Zaccagnini created Aalto Bodegas y Vinedos together with the desire from the outset to offer haute couture wines, representative of the Ribera del Duero. Mariano Garcia studied at the Madrid wine school and made his first vintage in 1968 at the legendary Bodegas Vega Sicilia. He was technical director for the next 30 years. He now runs the estate and from the outset entrusted the technical management to Javier Zaccagnini.

A tribute to the River Arno which irrigates the fertile lands of the estate and which has seven bridges between Florence and Arezzo, the Tenuta Sette Ponti was created out of the Moretti family’s purchase of land from the nobility.

Located in South Tyrol in the village of Terlano, northwest of the city of Bolzano, the Terlan cantina has been in existence since 1893. A leading cooperative winery, its international recognition is second to none. Historically, it was created by a group of 24 winegrowers who wanted to free themselves from the landowners of the region who held most of the land and ruled over local agriculture.
