The history of Feudo Maccari starts in 2000 and coincides with the Moretti family’s acquisition of about fifty plots gathered around a single banner, in the region of Val di Noto, in the south of Sicily.Antonio Moretti, the owner of the famous Tenuta Sette Ponti in Tuscany, along with his daughter Monica - both accompanied by renowned oenologists Carlo Ferrini and Gioia Cresti - have, in little more than a decade, managed to make Feudo Maccari one of the most influential wineries in Sicily.

Spread over 50 acres of vines of which most of them are old plants, the estate produces around 166,000 bottles per year, split into 6 vintages of which 3 are reds which are frequently awarded and amongst the finest wines on the island: the famous Saia, Nero d’Avola and Maharis. The result of meticulous work and unwavering passion, the wines of Feudo Maccari are grown on the fertile volcanic soil of Mount Etna which, in combination with the sun and constant wind which keeps the grapes at the right temperature, gives them a particular charisma, the perfect expression of the exceptional terroir that the wines come from.
