Confidential production of René Barbier made from Syrah and Grenache Blanche (600 bottles)
The Syrah (de-stemmed), mixed with a few whole bunches of Grenache Blanche are introduced in open barrels. When it starts to ferment, the berries are burst by a gentle pricking 2 times a day until the end of fermentation.
This wine has an intriguing and marvelous complexity. It marries the freshness and warmth, elegance and power, the fruit and minerality. It needs time to unveil all its fragrances and flavours ... the lucky few who manage to get their hands on a bottle.
In fact, SACCRIW stands for "Sidi Cana Christian Anderson Rene Isabelle Wolfgang," the people who have contributed to the project.
