Pingus was first produced in 1995. From the beginning, this wine intrigued and fascinated critics such as Robert Parker. With a limited production of only 325 cases, the value of this wine increased significantly when 75 cases of the first vintage disappeared at the same time as it’s ship transporting them to the USA.
The vineyard, consisting of 2 parcels, represents about 4 hectares of old vines. The wine making has been biodynamic since 2000. On average 500 crates are produced ... but only on the good years.
