This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes and is a blend of several parcels with mainly limestone soil. This Tuscan appellation is an integral part of Italian wine history as it was already praised in 1500 by Sante Lancerio, the cellar master of Pope Paul III.

Color : Intense red with garnet hues.

Nose : Notes of violet and red fruits.

Mouth : A balanced wine with pronounced tannins. Notes of plums develop. Long persistence on the finish.

Alcohol level : 13.5%

Winemaking : Aged for 18 months in casks and barrels, then 6 months in bottle.

Food pairing : Scottiglia di Siena, buristo (pork sausage).

Aging potential : 5 to 8 years.
