It was in 1886 that Michele Violante, the great-great-grandfather of Piernicola Leone de Castris, current owner of the Leone de Castris estate, began farming and wine in the region of Gioia del Colle. The story continues today with Piernicola at the helm who decided as a nod to the birth of the estate to produce a wine from Gioia del Colle. This 2019 vintage is thus a tribute to the wine traditions of the Leone de Castris family, which combines both history and excellence.
