Valbuena is the purest expression of Tinto fino (Tempranillo) at Vega Sicilia. After fermentation, it matures in barrels, between wood and bottle, for five years, hence the name of the wine Valbuena 5º.
Color : Dark garnet with brilliant reflections.
Nose : Fruity and delicious: black fruit, cherry and plum. Some floral notes and aromas of sweet spices (cinnamon and liquorice) highlighted by notes of dry herbs and dark chocolate.
Mouth : Fleshy and velvety. Magnificent balance, complex nuances of very ripe black fruit and spices. We find the flavours of wild berries, dry herbs and chocolate. The body is juicy and the tannic structure is dense but integrated. Impressive length and persiste

Winemaking : After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the ageing in wood lasts five years. Combination of French and American wood, new and used barrels of 225 litres, 20,000 litre casks.
Food pairing : Braised shank, fillet of beef with chocolate sauce, lamb with herbs, game.
