“Mayro” comes from “marvus”, which means dark or black, in reference to the intense colour of this wine.

 

Additional tasting notes

Color : Intense ruby red.


Nose : An intense and elegant combination of power and freshness. Aromas of dark fruits (cherries and plums), spices (pepper, liquorice and juniper) and delicate notes of ripe sweet peppers. 


Mouth : A refined and juicy savour of ripe fruit and spices. The long and fresh finale draws on silky tannins.


Alcohol level : 13.5%


Winemaking : 10 days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by 6 to 8 months maturing in 15-hl barrels made of French oak.


Food pairing : Roast meats, game and ripened cheeses.


Aging potential : 5 to 7 years.
