Tassinaia is the name of a farm on one of the surrounding hills which means "place of stones". First produced in 1992, this wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, planted on soils of varying composition. The two green lines on the label refer to the green colour of the fields during the spring season.

Color : Deep red.
Nose : Open, with notes of red fruits and peppers.
Mouth : Structured, with present tannins and a nice framework of freshness. Long finish with assertive tannins.
Alcohol level : 14%
Winemaking : Fermentation and maceration for 12 days, 28 months of ageing, 16 of which are in barrels and the last 12 months in bottle.
Food pairing : Roast venison, red wine and blackcurrant sauce, simmered wild boar stew.
Aging potential : 10 to 12 years
