The name of this grape variety derives directly from its colour with green hints, in Italian, verde.
This variety produces rather mineral wines, with notes of gunflint. Produced mainly in southern Italy and maturing rather late, it has very good acidity, with rather fresh and vegetal notes.
Color : Bright straw yellow with green highlights.
Nose : Mainly field flowers with hints of citrus and a touch of exotic fruit.
Mouth : Fresh and tasty. Like the nose, we find bergamot and pineapple. The length is persistent for our greatest pleasure.
Alcohol level : 12.5%
Winemaking : 3 months of fermentation on the lees, 3 months of ageing in steel vats, then at least 1 month in the bottle.
Food pairing : Seafood, oysters, fresh cheese or simply as an aperitif
Aging potential : < 3 years
