Planted on hillsides facing the Ionian Sea, Gaglioppo is the Calabrian grape variety par excellence. Planted on clay-limestone soils, it gives the wine both structure and freshness. The Alceo cuvée is a perfect example of this typically Calabrian grape variety. A wine with a strong, elegant structure.

Color : Garnet red with pink highlights.

Nose : Notes of red berries and flowers, with a hint of spice after aeration.

Mouth : Supple, fresh attack with a fruity flavour. Strong tannins on the palate, with a pleasant spicy finish.

Alcohol level : 14%

Winemaking : Fermented in stainless steel vats and aged in barrels.

Food pairing : Calabrian-style penne, nduja.
