A mixture of powerfulness and elegance is revealed in this blend of 90% Albarinho and 10% Loureira. There is only 3,000 bottles of this wine produced.
Colour : Straw yellow with golden highlights.
Nose : Very complex with aromas of peach, quince, intermingled with vanilla, thyme, nuts and toasted almonds.
Palate : Very balanced, remarkably fresh from beginning to end, hints of saline coated with a nice smoothness.
Classification alfavin.ch : Complex white : Structured and balanced wine, accompanies easily a meal with more elaborate and rich dishes.
Alcool : 12.5%
Vinification : The grapes are de-stemmed and macerated for about 2 hours in order to optimize the aromatic extraction. After pressing, the must is transferred to French oak barrels for fermentation. Then the wine is aged for 8 months in oak barrels with regular stirring of the lees.
Meals : As an appetizer with dried ham like pata negra, with dishes of fish or white meat.
