Directed by Eduardo Garcia with the advice of his father Mauro, San Román Bodegas is a winery that came into being in the late 1990s. In 1995, the Garcia family began to take an interest in some of the vineyard's plots of old vines with great potential in the north of the D.O Toro. In 1996, the first plots were purchased and in 1997, the winery was inaugurated in Pedrosa del Rey.

Today, this 90-hectare estate is a major player in the Toro region. It mainly cultivates very local grape varieties such as Tinta de Toro, also known as Tempranillo, but also Grenache, a grape variety native to Spain that can be found in other wine-producing countries.

Always looking for improvement, the vineyard is now in the process of converting to biodynamic farming with the aim of not only improving the quality and biodiversity of its soils, but also to offer an additional quality to its wines.
