NITA, A GOURMET RED WINE FROM THE PRIORAT

Nestled in the heart of the Priorat region, Nita is the eponymous wine of Meritxell Palleja. After studying oenology and gaining some professional experience, Meritxell began producing her first wine in 2004: Nita. A true homage to her family, the name evokes a house called "Cal Nita" where her grandmother lived, who was an embroidery maker, as evidenced by the motifs on the label.

A blend of young and old vines, this Spanish red wine highlights the Grenache, Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grape varieties, in terroirs where they express themselves wonderfully. In a region affected by the summer heat, Meritxell offers with this wine a red wine with notes of fresh fruit and a structure that is both supple and elegant. In order to keep a maximum of freshness, the wines are matured and vinified in stainless steel and cement vats.

Color : Red of medium intensity, luminous and transparent.


Nose : Fresh, red fruit, mineral, balsamic with hints of violet.


Mouth : Fresh, balanced and a long mineral finish.


Alcohol level : 14.5%


Winemaking : Stainless steel and cement tanks and 12 months in bottle.


Food pairing : Paella, meat tapas, manchego, roast and grilled lamb, rabbit with olives.
