« Bodegas Benjamin de Rothschild & Vega Sicilia » was founded in 2004 when these two great producers decided to join forces to create great wines in this very special region of Rioja. After a period of 5 years, during which they studied the different terroirs and purchased vineyards, the project began to take shape in 2009. Two wines were born that year, Macán and Macán Clásico. The first bottles of the 2009 vintage have been released on the market in 2013. Finally, the construction of the winery in the city of Samaniego was completed in 2016.
