The wine story of the Ugarte family, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, dates back to the year 1870. On the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostela, between Sierra de Tolono and the medieval town of Laguardia in Paganos, the grandson of the founder, Vitorino Eguren Ugarte, built the imposing estate "Eguren Ugarte" in 1989.

The Bodega has more than 130 hectares of vineyards.

The particularity of this winery is its labyrinth of open and underground caves, where the temperature and humidity remain constant throughout the year.

The wines are regularly rewarded by the international press.
