In 1991, the decision to produce a high-quality wine able to put the tradition of the noble vineyards of the province was born of a passion rooted in the land around Sessa Aurunca, in the north of Campania.Three years later, the famous Terra di Lavoro, a unique wine produced by the Galardi estate, was released for the first time thanks to the participation of the famous oenologist Ricardo Cotarella, a man who would make this wine one of the finest, if not the finest, in the entire region of Campania. Grown in the volcanic soil of Roccamonfina, located on a slope at between 400 and 500 metres above the magnificent Gulf of Gaeta, the vineyards of Galardi are home to only two historic local grape varieties: Aglianico and Pedirosso. The result of organic cultivation methods which respect the nature that shapes them, along with meticulous and passionate work, the prestigious Terra di Lavoro is a wine which is the quintessential expression of its terroir.Modern in structure and traditional in design, this unique wine has been awarded the highest possible scores by all the most influential critics in the world, as evidenced by its title as the best wine in Italy, which it has won several times under the classification of the famous magazine Gentlemen, which aggregates the scores of all the critics.
