Agripunica was born in August 2002 from the alliance of Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia) and the Cantina Sociale di Santadi. The year 2002 is the first vintage of Barrua. Coming from a local grape variety rarely used (with the exception of Terre Brune and Rocca Rubia), production is about 300,000 bottles.

Color : Intense purple red.


Nose : Very fruity ,flavours of ripe berries. Very intense.


Mouth : Very well structured and harmonious. This wine is elegant, with round tannins and a long persistent flavour.


Alcohol level : 14.5%


Winemaking : Aging lasts about 18 months in oak casks (30% new), followed by at least 12 months in bottle.


Food pairing : Mediterranean cuisine, suckling pig or roast lamb, goat, meat, poultry.
