Moscato d'Asti, Ascheri: An Italian sparkling wine.

Moscato d'Asti is an Italian sparkling wine from the Piedmont wine region in north-west Italy. The grape variety used to produce this wine is Muscat Blanc, also known as Muscat à Petits Grains. Originating in Greece, it is one of the oldest and most widespread grape varieties in the world, and is particularly appreciated for its ability to produce sweet, aromatic wines. Initially DOC in 1967, Moscato d'Asti wines became DOCG in 1993. Known as the Asti winemaking process, the grapes are harvested when they reach their highest sugar content. The grapes are pressed and the juice fermented for a few days. Fermentation is stopped by cooling and the wines are filtered and bottled.

Ascheri: A renowned producer.

Their Moscato d'Asti is made using traditional methods, with fermentation in closed tanks to preserve the natural aromas of the grape variety and produce a delicate, refreshing sparkling wine.
