This wine is made from a grape variety called Bordo, which is well established in the Marche region. After DNA analysis, it turned out to be a variety of Grenache. Formerly called 'Bordo', the wine is now called 'Pisto' after Paolo's family nickname.

 

The advisory oenologist to develop this wine is Marco Casolanetti, producer of the mythical Kurni

 

Additional tasting notes

Color : Light ruby red.


Nose : Complex, elegant, floral with notes of Mediterranean herbs and vanilla.


Mouth : Frank and ample attack, fruity with a good mass of tannins and a nice finish.


Alcohol level :  14.5%


Winemaking : Fermentation at a controlled temperature of approximately 25 ° followed by maturation in French oak barrels of about 16 months finalised by aging of 6 months in bottle.


Food pairing : Salmon pasta, rabbit with olives, saltimbocca.
