Color : intense red with brilliant reflections, which turns ocher with age.


Nose : complex and delicate, with aromas of plum, ripe cherry and red berries. These fruity notes intertwine with aromas of liquorice, tobacco and delicate wood.


Mouth : elegantly structured and greedy, with intense fruity notes and a slight spicy touch. The finish is tapered and stretches with delicacy, with tannins well present, but fine.


Alcohol level : 13.5%


Winemaking : 3 years of ageing in Slovenian oak barrels, followed by 4 to 6 months in bottle


Food pairing : Grilled rib of beef, Osso bucco à la milanaise, roast rack of lamb, pan-fried foie gras, medium-bodied cheeses
