Piernicola Leone de Castris dedicated this wine to his father.
The vines have an average age of 35 years. The grape is slightly wilted on the plants and harvested by hand in small crates at the beginning of October.
Color : intense ruby red
Nose : powerful with aromas of ripe red fruit, cherry jam, notes of balsamic, accompanied by hints of spices, vanilla and cocoa.
Mouth : velvety and sensual, finale of very ripe black fruits, fine and elegant, long lasting flavour.
Alcohol level : 16.0%
Winemaking : Fermentation et maceration at controlled temperatures for about 20 days. Refinement in French oak barrels for around 12 months.
Food pairing : Rack of lamb, grilled red meats, game, rabbit, full bodied cheese.
