Poggio dei Lecci, which means "Hill of the Holm Oaks", is a wine produced in the Piancornello area, 15 kilometres south of the village of Montalcino. It is composed mainly of Sangiovese, known locally as Brunello.

Color : Intense red with purple hues.


Nose : Pleasant nose of blackberries and blackcurrants with hints of spices.


Mouth : Full-bodied on the attack, with assertive tannins supported by good freshness. Pleasant finish.


Alcohol level : 14,5%


Winemaking : Aged for 12 months in 250 and 500 litre barrels, then 4 months in bottle.


Food pairing : Parpadelle with wild boar, Cinghiale alle Maremmana
