The consultant oenologist responsible for this wine is Marco Casolanetti, the producer of the legendary Kurni.

 

Additional tasting notes

Color : Intense ruby red.


Nose : Intensely fruity, a complex aroma with fragrances of morello cherries, blackcurrants, vanilla and liquorice.


Mouth : Rich first impressions with very fine, full-bodied tannins, a hint of ripe fruit, black cherry preserves and balsamic. Never-ending length.


Alcohol level :  15%


Winemaking : Fermentation at a controlled temperature of about 25°, about 16 months maturing in French oak barrels, then 6 months maturing in the bottle.


Food pairing : Roast leg of lamb, saddle of venison, red meats, hare stew with pappardelle.
